Organizer Information
Between Bridges is a foundation established by artist Wolfgang Tillmans in 2017. The foundation is deeply committed to humanism, solidarity, and the advancement of democracy, with a focus on supporting the arts, LGBTQ+ rights, and anti-racism work. Since 2006, Between Bridges has also operated as a non-profit exhibition space in London and Berlin.
Title & Description
The Between Bridges Residency (Ninth Edition).
This residency provides professional artists with a focused working phase in Berlin, culminating in a one-month public presentation or exhibition. The program follows a lineage of distinguished previous participants, including Yalda Afsah, Didem Pekün, and the Viscose publishing collective. The residency is designed for independent practitioners who wish to engage with the foundation's network and professional community.
Facilities: Participants gain access to a 100 m² space at Keithstraße 15 in Berlin Schöneberg. This includes two large work/exhibition rooms, an office, a small kitchen, and a bathroom.
Note: The space is for working only (not living) and is not wheelchair accessible.

Eligibility
- Professional Status: Open to individual artists, duos, or small collaborative groups.
- Academic Status: Currently enrolled university students are ineligible, with the exception of PhD candidates.
- Autonomy: Applicants must be capable of working independently; the foundation does not provide installation assistance.
Program Benefits and Awards
- Monthly Stipend: €1,500 per month for six months (total €9,000).
- Exhibition Budget: A dedicated €5,000 for the final presentation/exhibition.
- Professional Development: Studio visits with curators and art professionals from the Between Bridges network.
- Visibility: Promotion through official channels and documentation on the foundation's website.

Application Requirements
Materials must be combined into a single PDF (max. 10 MB, max. 10 pages) in English or German:
- Project Proposal: A concept for the exhibition/presentation (max. 250 words).
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Portfolio: Visual documentation of work (links to audio/video are permitted within the PDF).
