Short Description:
The Boghossian Foundation Residency invites artists from all backgrounds to apply for a residency at the Villa Empain in Brussels, Belgium. Located in a restored building within the villa’s garden, the residency offers artists a peaceful environment combined with access to a vibrant cultural space that promotes dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures.
Artists from around the world can apply year-round, with the current open call for 2025 accepting applications until August 31, 2025. Selected artists stay 2 to 3 months, depending on project scope and availability. The Foundation covers travel expenses for international artists. Residents live and work in a shared space, including private bedrooms, communal living areas, and a shared studio with 24/7 access. Brussels-based artists are also eligible for an external residency, granting access to the studio during opening hours without full-time accommodation.
The Foundation regularly welcomes winners of its Lebanon Prize and hosts three Armenian artists annually in partnership with Creative Armenia, strengthening cultural exchange.
