Organizer Information

The ADAGP (Société des Auteurs dans les Arts Graphiques et Plastiques) is the French collecting society and rights management organization dedicated to visual artists, graphic designers, and plastic arts creators. It represents thousands of artists in France, managing copyright royalties, distributing payments, and actively supporting artistic creation through various grants, bursaries, and direct aid programs. As the sole organizer of the Bourse Stampa, ADAGP continues its mission to foster innovation in printmaking and graphic arts by providing financial support for the production of original works.

Title & Description

The Bourse Stampa 2026 is the fifth edition of this grant program designed to support the creation of an original graphic work (estampes/original prints). It focuses on traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques, enabling selected artists to produce a new, signed, and numbered edition. The project must be a collaboration between an ADAGP member artist and a professional workshop (atelier) that handles the technical execution. The resulting work must be entirely new (not based on pre-existing pieces), created in France, and completed within a maximum of one year from the announcement of the laureates. ADAGP will retain two non-commercial copies of the final work. This initiative highlights the richness of graphic arts processes and encourages high-quality, innovative editions at the intersection of artistic vision and technical mastery.

Categories

Printmaking / Graphic Arts / Original Prints (Estampes originales), specifically using techniques such as intaglio engraving (taille douce on copper or other supports), wood engraving, linocut, lithography, xylography, chalcography, screen printing (sérigraphie), or risography.

Eligibility

Open exclusively to active members of the ADAGP (French or international artists who are already members of the society). Applicants must collaborate with a professional workshop (atelier) for the production of the work. The project must be realised in France.

Program Benefits & Awards

Three laureates will each receive a grant of €6,000 to cover production costs of the original graphic work. This financial support enables artists to realize ambitious projects in collaboration with specialized workshops, promoting excellence in printmaking without additional residency or exhibition obligations beyond delivery of the work.
