The Boynes Painting Prize, part of the Boynes Artist Award, is a quarterly competition dedicated to celebrating the art of painting. It provides a platform for both traditional and contemporary painters to showcase their work, gain international recognition, and further their artistic careers. Each cycle explores a unique theme, challenging artists to push their creative boundaries.

    • Submission Period: January 1 – March 30, 2025
    • Winner Announcement: April 15, 2025
  • Submission Fee:

    • $25 USD for up to 3 artworks
    • $10 USD for each additional artwork (up to a maximum of 10 artworks)

 

Eligibility:

  • Artists must be over 18 years old.
  • Actively engaged in the art industry, with a consistent practice (portfolio, exhibitions, etc.).
  • Submitted artworks must be original paintings created within the last five years.

 

Cycle 1 Theme: Light and Shadow
Artists are invited to explore the interplay of light and shadow to create mood, depth, and narrative intensity in their compositions.

How to Apply:
Applications are submitted through the Submittable platform and require:

  • Name, email, and artist bio (max 500 words)
  • 1–10 artworks with descriptions
  • Optional: website, social media handles, artist CV
  • Submission fee: $25 for up to 3 artworks, $10 per additional artwork (max 10 works)

Important Notes:

  • Artists retain full copyrights and 100% of sales from works promoted through the Boynes Artist Award.
  • Cash prizes are non-transferable and awarded within 15 business days via PayPal or bank transfer.
  • The jury’s decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
