The Caribbean Culture Fund is a grant-making initiative dedicated to supporting cultural and creative practitioners, organizations, and projects across the Caribbean region. The CCF aims to foster artistic expression, cultural exchange, innovation, and community engagement through a series of funding calls, workshops, and collaborative programs. Through partnerships with regional cultural institutions and stakeholders, CCF contributes to strengthening ecosystem capacity, cultural heritage preservation, and intra-Caribbean connectivity in the arts and cultural sectors.

Title & Description

Call for Proposals: Caribbean Residency Grant and Fellowships — 2026

This open call invites registered cultural organizations or institutions with the capacity to host international artists to submit proposals for short-term residencies and fellowships. The intent is to support intra-Caribbean creative exchange by funding initiatives where host entities can bring in up to two artists from other Caribbean countries or territories to engage in collaborative, innovative work. Grants are allocated to cover all core costs (including visa, travel, accommodation, meals, and interpretation) and to strengthen artistic growth, institutional partnerships, and community engagement. Participating artists are expected to take part in at least one public activity and one virtual event with CCF.

This call is interdisciplinary and open to all arts disciplines, including but not limited to:

  • Literature and Publishing

  • Radio, Television, and Multimedia
  • Photography
  • Museums, Galleries, Libraries, and Archives
  • Traditional crafts such as pottery and ceramics
  • Mixed-genre and hybrid art practices

Eligibility

  • Registered cultural organizations, institutions, or companies that have residential capacity to host artists.
  • Must demonstrate experience hosting international artists and providing a safe, supportive environment.
  • Open to eligible applicants based in all Caribbean countries and territories, including those within the Caribbean Sea and adjacent continental states with significant historical/cultural ties.
  • Priority for organizations that have previously hosted residencies within the last three years and have pre-selected artists.

Program Benefits & Awards

  • Grant Amount: USD 5,000 per selected residency/fellowship (10 grants).
  • Coverage: Grant must cover all essential costs — visa, travel, accommodation, meals, and interpretation — for up to two artists per residency.
  • Artist Experience: Residencies emphasize cross-cultural exchange, collaborative creation, institutional connection, and community engagement.
  • Visibility: Selected participants will take part in at least one public activity and a virtual event facilitated by CCF.
