Organizer Information:

Colloquia is an independent gallery located in Woodstock, Virginia, dedicated to contemporary and 20th/21st-century art. Managing Director Andrew Ritcheson, PhD, FRSA, brings an interdisciplinary background as an American-British artist and psychologist with a DPhil from Oxford. The gallery’s philosophy is rooted in the "relational power" of art—emphasizing presence, materiality, and close looking within the quiet intensity of the Shenandoah Valley.

Title & Description

Colloquia Futures 2027.

This annual program is a dedicated step for artists at the earliest stage of their professional lives. It selects two to three artists to participate in a fully realized exhibition every August. Designed to address the gap between self-directed work and professional arrival, the program treats young artists as peers. It offers an intimate setting removed from distraction, where boundary-crossing art meets an audience prepared to engage in a global "colloquy" (conversation).
