The Ax:son Johnson Centre for the Study of Classical Architecture (CSCA) is a research centre within the Faculty of Architecture and History of Art at the University of Cambridge, working in collaboration with the Faculty of Classics. Established in 2021, the Centre supports research and academic activity focused on classical architecture and related fields. Its programme brings together the Director, Deputy Director, Visiting Professors, Postdoctoral Research Associates and PhD students, alongside seminars, conferences, workshops and other academic activities. The Centre is seeking a part-time administrator to provide essential operational and financial support through September 2028.

CSCA Centre Administrator (Part-time, Fixed Term)
CSCA Centre Administrator (Part-time, Fixed Term) is a university-based arts and academic administration position supporting the day-to-day operation of the Centre for the Study of Classical Architecture. The successful candidate will coordinate administration, financial processes, events, communications and logistical arrangements, helping the Centre deliver its research and academic programme effectively.
This is a 0.6 FTE, fixed-term position funded until 30 September 2028. The role combines office-based administrative responsibilities with event support and occasional travel, including travel to Sweden during July to support the Centre's Summer School.

Position & Tasks
The Centre Administrator will coordinate the efficient administration of the CSCA and work closely with the Director and other Centre members. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the Centre's day-to-day administrative operations and acting as a principal contact for stakeholders.
- Supporting the preparation of reports through gathering, organising and analysing relevant data.
- Administering research-related finances, including expenses, invoices, purchase orders and purchasing requisitions.
- Maintaining accurate records of expenditure against research grants and Centre budgets.
- Checking financial statements and invoices in collaboration with the Departmental Finance Office.
- Maintaining spreadsheets and records of actual expenditure against relevant budget headings.
- Organising seminars, conferences, workshops, training sessions and other Centre events.
- Coordinating venues, travel, catering, external speakers and expense reimbursements.
- Providing practical and, where appropriate, technological support during in-person events.
- Working Fridays during term time and attending occasional one-off events.
- Travelling to Sweden in July to provide administrative and logistical support for the Centre's Summer School.
