Organizer Information
The HALLE FÜR KUNST Steiermark is a contemporary art institution based in Graz, Austria, recognized for its innovative exhibition programme and international curatorial profile. The institution focuses on presenting Visual Arts within a global contemporary context while maintaining a strong dialogue with regional artistic production in Austria and Central Europe.
Rather than separating local and international perspectives, the institution actively integrates them into a unified curatorial framework. Its programme includes solo exhibitions, thematic group shows, performance-based formats, film series, and discursive events. This multi-format approach positions the institution as a dynamic platform for critical reflection on contemporary artistic practices and their broader cultural implications.
The architectural setting of the late-modern exhibition building, combined with its surrounding park landscape, contributes to a distinctive spatial environment that supports experimental presentation formats. Alongside exhibitions, the institution also develops public programming, publishing activities, and digital communication strategies to extend its curatorial discourse beyond the physical space.
Within this framework, HALLE FÜR KUNST Steiermark functions as both an exhibition space and a research-driven platform for contemporary art discourse.
