A Smith Gallery is a fine-art photography gallery based in Johnson City, Texas, established in 2010 by Amanda Smith. The gallery presents the work of both amateur and professional photographers through juried and invitational exhibitions, including online exhibitions. Its mission focuses on promoting photographic arts through exhibitions, workshops, portfolio reviews, and community-building activities.

Diptych Triptych Photography Exhibition 2026
“diptych/triptych/multiples/collage” is an international juried photography exhibition organized by A Smith Gallery and juried by photographic artist Manuela Thames. The call invites photographers to explore visual storytelling through combinations of images rather than relying on a single photograph. Diptychs, triptychs, larger multiples, and photographic collages can be used to create relationships, sequences, contrasts, or expanded narratives.
The exhibition is particularly suited to artists whose photographic practice incorporates conceptual sequencing, juxtaposition, multiple exposures, collage, or combinations of words and images. Up to 47 images will be selected for the online exhibition.

Eligibility
The competition is open internationally to professional and amateur photographers working in all photographic mediums and styles. Previously exhibited work in an A Smith Gallery competition is not eligible. The gallery currently prefers not to accept images created with Artificial Intelligence because of ongoing copyright uncertainties and related litigation.
Program Benefits & Awards
Selected artists will have their work included in the online exhibition and catalogue. The gallery will also promote selected images through its Facebook and Instagram channels, while Gallery Directors will discuss the works during a virtual GalleryTalk. The exhibition and GalleryTalk will remain permanently archived online.
All selected images will be listed in the gallery's online store for potential sale. The gallery retains 30% of the sales price.
Up to 27 selected images will additionally appear in “The 27,” a hardbound fine-art exhibition book. The Juror's Award and Directors Award recipients receive a copy of this book.
Awards include:
- Juror's Award: Online solo exhibition, “The 27” exhibition book, and feature story on the gallery blog.
- Directors Award: Online solo exhibition, “The 27” exhibition book, and feature story on the gallery blog.
- Visitors Award: $100, based on Instagram likes.
The Juror's and Director's Award solo exhibitions will run for one month at a mutually agreed time.
Photographers submitting 13 or more images receive a complimentary 30-minute gallery-director review. Those submitting fewer than 13 images may purchase a review for an additional $20.
Application Fee
The entry fee is $40 for the first five images, plus $5 for each additional image. There is no maximum number of images. Fees are non-refundable. Payment can be made through PayPal with the online application, or by check after submitting the online form.

Additional Details
The jurying process is blind: artists' names are removed from submitted images and replaced with entry/image numbers before the juror reviews them. Photographers retain full copyright and ownership of their work. A Smith Gallery receives permission to use selected images for exhibition, catalogue, book, online store, and promotional purposes.
For sales, artists can either ship signed prints directly to buyers or use the gallery's printing services.
