Dogo Residenz für Neue Kunst is a contemporary Art center located in Lichtensteig (Canton St.Gallen), Switzerland. The organization focuses on process-oriented artistic Research and communal living, providing a platform for international artists to engage with the local rural context and each other through an annual thematic lens.

What is Love? Rethinking Relationships.
The 2027 Residency focuses on artistic explorations of belonging, community, intimacy, and vulnerability. Artists are invited to examine the societal constructions of romance, family, and friendship. The program begins with a mandatory two-day Symposium in February 2027 to reflect on the theme and concludes with a large-scale group Exhibition, the "Dogo Totale," in November 2027.
This is a 2-to-3-month Residency program. It is a Self Fund opportunity regarding daily Living Costs, but includes professional support, Exhibition fees, and travel contributions.
Residents' tasks:
- Conduct independent artistic Research or Production based on the theme.
- Provide a small creative input for the February 2027 Symposium.
- Present work or process-results at the "Dogo Totale" group Exhibition.
- Participate in communal life and peer-to-peer exchange within the Residency.

Application Requirements

- A small physical postcard (e.g., A6) sent via mail answering "What is Love?" via sketch, photo, statement, or quote.

Additional Details
