Short Description
La Résidence DRAGO is a program supporting young contemporary creation, conceived by the Résidence DRAGO. Nestled in Draguignan, in the heart of the Var region, this residency offers a space for research, production, and dissemination for new graduates of higher schools of art.
It aims to support emerging artists in their transition from the academic framework to professional life, while strengthening their connection to the local territory through encounters with residents, schools, cultural actors, and the local landscape.
Eligibility
This call is addressed to artists who:
- Hold a DNSEP (National Higher Diploma in Plastic Expression) from a higher school of art, obtained between 2023 and 2025.
- They are engaged in contemporary visual research, in any and all media.
- Wish to develop a project connected to the local territory, landscape, or memory of the place.
- Are receptive to collaborative, pedagogical, or participatory forms of work.
Submission Requirements
- A portfolio (max. 15 pages).
- A project proposal/letter of intent (1 to 2 pages).
- An artistic CV.
- A copy of the diploma or certificate of graduation.
- Optional: Letters of recommendation, publications, and articles.

Program Benefits & Awards
- Provision of a creative studio and an exhibition space in Draguignan.
- Grant: 700 € (all taxes included).

- Public presentation at the end of the residency: exhibition, meeting, and critical publication.
