Organizer Information

Artly Mix is an artist-led, self-funded, and independent cultural centre and arts organisation located in the prestigious Vila Mariana neighbourhood of São Paulo, Brazil. Originating in 2015 as a grassroots creative meetup group in London called "Become An Artist London," the platform has scaled into an international network hosting physical exhibitions in London, Edinburgh, and São Paulo. Under the direction of Brazilian multimedia artist, filmmaker, and curator Juliana Lauletta, Artly Mix works tirelessly to provide emerging and established international creators with global exposure while using the arts to foster community inspiration and mental health awareness. Since its first formal exhibition in 2019, the organization has proudly showcased the works of over 800 artists from more than 78 countries.

Title & Description

"Exhibit in Brazil - Vivid Exhibition" Group Showcase.

Artly Mix has officially opened its international call for entries for the upcoming summer showcase at Echos Studio in São Paulo. This project is specifically engineered to eliminate the logistical barriers, immense financial strains, and administrative friction historically tied to international exhibitions. By relying entirely on a high-resolution digital workflow, global creators can seamlessly present their work in a different country without having to worry about crating, custom clearance delays, or international shipping. The curators handle every detail on-site, using the physical gallery space to connect global communities and foster artistic diversity.

The Operational Workflow:

  • Zero-Shipping Logistics: Artists do not need to ship physical original items or travel to the venue. For creators residing outside of São Paulo, Artly Mix takes care of printing, mounting, and hanging all selected images in Brazil on the artists' behalf. (Note: Local artists residing permanently in São Paulo are required to personally deliver their original dry artworks one week prior to the show and sign a consignment agreement).
  • The Archival Storage Policy: Following the close of the exhibition, Artly Mix retains the physical fine art prints within their permanent archive storage for future curated exhibition opportunities. Alternatively, if an artist explicitly requests not to have their print archived, the organizers will securely destroy the piece. Due to expensive and unreliable postal tracking, physical prints will not be mailed back to overseas origins.

Categories

  • Visual Arts (Paintings, illustrations, mixed-media, photography, and sculptures captured in digital formats),
  • New Media / Film & Video,
  • and Performance Art Documentation.

Eligibility

  • Global Boundary: Open to contemporary creators of all nationalities, styles, and artistic backgrounds.
  • Collaborative Practice: Creative group duos and cross-disciplinary collaborations are highly welcome to submit files.

Program Benefits and Exhibition Provisions

The baseline participation fee provides selected international artists with a comprehensive exhibition toolkit, covering:

  • Physical exhibition space placement at Echos Studio in São Paulo from July 4 to July 17, 2026.
  • Professional curating, design organization, and complete text translation services from English to Portuguese.
  • High-quality fine art printing, material mounting, and gallery hanging services.
  • Continuous, looping video playback for short films and moving-image performance documentations.
  • Inclusion in the official digital exhibition webpage and production of all local print marketing collateral (promotional posters, gallery labels, and press materials).
  • A formal Private View opening gala featuring fully catered food, beverages, and professional bartender services.
  • Extensive post-show documentation, including high-resolution photos of the opening night, pictures of visitors, individual photographs of every single artwork installed on the gallery wall, and a formal permanent listing on the Artfacts database.

Fees, Tiered Pricing, & Sales Policy

  • Application Submission Fee: None (Completely free to submit up to 5 images for initial review).
  • Selected Artist Participation Fee Scale: Only shortlisted creators are required to pay a fee to secure their gallery slot and offset production overheads:
    • 1 Artwork: $100 USD (≈ £80 / €90).
    • 2 Artworks: $200 USD (≈ £160 / €180).
    • 3 Artworks: $300 USD (≈ £240 / €270).
  • Refund Policy: Once the payment is processed, slots are immediately locked and printing materials are allocated. Therefore, Artly Mix enforces a strict no-refunds policy upon cancellation.
  • Independent Sales Framework: To protect creative income, Artly Mix charges a 0% commission on artwork sales. Because the platform acts as a cultural centre rather than a commercial dealer, it abstains from the transaction process. If a collector states interest, the curator directly connects them to the artist for independent negotiation. Crucial Constraint: Only artists who are physically present on-site at the Private View gala in Brazil are eligible to have their exhibited works up for commercial sale.
