Applications are open for the Open Call 2026 Experimental Fellowship with Bauhaus Earth.

This fellowship supports emerging international practitioners and cross-disciplinary teams developing regenerative, circular, and climate-conscious solutions aimed at transforming the building sector. The fellowship focuses on practice-based research and regenerative material practices (e.g., low-carbon solutions, reusable by-products, and natural regional sources). Fellows will work to develop prototypes, test materials, and turn experimentation into actionable, sustainable architecture solutions.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Open globally to emerging international practitioners and cross-disciplinary teams with applied research experience.
  • Typologies: Project proposals are welcome across a range of typologies and scales.
  • Language: Applications MUST be submitted in English.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Financial Support: The fellowship provides a monthly stipend plus project-related expenses and production costs of up to €30,000.
  • Duration: Support is provided over a period of 9 to 12 months (aligned with project status and feasibility).
  • Selection: The fellowship will support two (2) Fellows worldwide.
  • Mentorship & Resources: Fellows receive technical and methodological guidance, access to workshop facilities, and access to an international network of research and industry partners.
