Short Description

Falía*: a spark that ignites, a snowflake that settles. Something small, ephemeral, but capable of “transforming” the world. The spark that arises from a territory, its history and its culture, and that spreads until it becomes a fire. The small bow that, joining others, creates a mantle that shapes the landscape and redesigns its shapes. Falía* is the art that ignites, that stratifies, that leaves its mark. 

Eligibility

  • Individuals and/or collectives.
  • No age limit (+18).
  • No limits of origin.
  • The artist, by submitting his candidacy, undertakes to create a work that will remain donated to the Municipality of Lozio.
  • The theme of the works is at the discretion of the artist, as well as the means and technique of realization. It is emphasized, however, that the project must be site-specific and therefore have to do directly with the territory and the community of Lozio.
  • For the falía* 2025 edition, at least 1 place will be reserved for an artist and/or collective that deals with Land Art/Street Art and 1 place for an artist and/or collective that deals with participatory art.
  • To get into the atmosphere of the residence and the place, it is possible to consult an essential bibliography relating to Lozio and Valle Camonica, some of which titles can be consulted at the headquarters of the association and at the local library. In addition, it is possible to consult other materials that tell some specificities of Lozio.

How to Apply

Artists interested in participating in the residency are invited to complete the Online Application Form and attach all the required documentation, sending it by email to: falia.air@gmail.com with the subject: 2025 artistic residency application documents.

Program Benefits & Awards

accommodation and workspace; weekly budget of 70 euros for food (which will be paid in full only upon presentation of the actual project); a co-production of the work (each project will be evaluated individually by the Commission, which will define the different quotas due to each artist); a copy of the catalogue.

In the case of collectives, the weekly budget is equal to the budget of the individual + 50% for each other member of the group.

The artist is responsible for the spaces entrusted during the period of residency and after the set deadline the rooms must be returned as they were delivered. For this reason, it is required to pay a symbolic deposit of € 100 on the day of arrival, which will be returned at the end of the residency period if no damage has been caused to the spaces and the structure.

Entry Fee

In order to participate in the competition, artists must register and become a member of the falía* Association*. The membership fee is 10 euros which must be paid into the Association’s PayPal account or by bank transfer. The card will be provided in digital format at the registration email.
