Short Description:

The Grantham Foundation offers an annual research residency with a CA$5,000 grant for specialists in visual arts, environment, and related fields. The program includes a four-week residency, an ongoing work presentation, and the potential for a public dissemination project. The residency supports research-driven projects reflecting on art, aesthetics, and environmental concerns in the Anthropocene.

Residency Length: Four weeks (continuous stay); exact dates decided with the researcher

Submission Format: Single PDF (max 1GB), sent via WeTransfer

 

Eligibility:

Open to researchers, art critics, curators, and artists with a curatorial practice

Applicants can be from Quebec, Canada, or abroad

Duos are eligible

University degree projects and dissertation-related work are not eligible

 

Program Benefits or Awards:

A$5,000, covering living costs, residency fees, a public presentation fee, and research support

Additional Travel Support: Up to CA$500 for applicants living more than 500 km away
