This scholarship provides a 12-month funding opportunity to support MA, PhD, postdoctoral, or independent research focused on French 18th-century fine and decorative arts. Eligibility
- Open to MA, PhD, postdoctoral, or independent researchers studying French 18th-century fine and decorative arts.

- Research must be relevant to object-based study suitable for potential publication in The Burlington Magazine.
Program Benefits & Awards
- £12,000 GBP awarded to one recipient per year.
- Funding distributed in quarterly installments (£3,000 each); flexible schedules may be negotiated.
- Eligible expenses include:
- Tuition or university fees
- Travel and subsistence costs
- Research-related books and images
- Facility, museum, and archive access costs (e.g., photocopying)
- Award recipients gain the opportunity to contribute research potentially publishable in The Burlington Magazine.
Excluded expenses: conference travel or registration, general computer costs, staff salaries, memberships, and general journal subscriptions.
