Title & Description

Gasworks Residency for artists based in Greece Open Call 2026

The Gasworks Residency 2026 is an eleven-week fully funded Residency in London designed for an early-career contemporary visual artist based in Greece. Taking place from 30 September to 15 December 2026, the programme provides selected artists with studio space, accommodation, financial support, and institutional access within one of the UK’s most respected contemporary art organizations.

The residency is self-directed and non-prescriptive, allowing artists to independently define their research and production focus. Participants are encouraged to engage with London’s artistic ecosystem, expand their professional networks, and develop new work in a context of international exchange.

A key moment of the residency is the Open Studio presentation, where the artist shares work-in-progress and research outcomes with curators, peers, and the public. This is complemented by documentation and a dedicated online residency profile hosted by Gasworks.

The programme is designed for artists working in contemporary and experimental practices who are seeking international visibility, critical dialogue, and professional development.
