Brief Description:
The 2025 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year Competition is organized by the South Australian Museum in collaboration with Australian Geographic. This competition celebrates natural fauna, flora, and landscapes within the ANZANG bioregion (Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, and New Guinea region). Photographers can submit images across ten categories, showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of the natural world.

- Entry Period: November 11, 2024 – February 6, 2025 (5:00 pm ACDT)
- Eligibility: Open to all photographers, excluding staff and families of the organizer and sponsors

Submission Requirements:
- Images in JPG format, sRGB color mode, maximum 1MB
- For shortlisted entries: TIFF file at 300dpi, 3500 pixels on the longest side
Selection Process:
- Judged by a panel appointed by the South Australian Museum
- Shortlisted entries notified by late March 2025
- Winners announced on August 28, 2025
