Title & Description
Goldsmiths Travelling Scholarship & Grant 2026
The Goldsmiths’ Company, acting as Trustee, invites applications for its 2026 Travelling Scholarship or Project Grant. This opportunity is designed to support young artists in expanding their practice through international travel, research, or the development of a specific artistic project.
Applicants may choose between two pathways: a travelling scholarship, which supports research-based travel with a clear conceptual or educational purpose, or a project grant aimed at funding the production or development of new work. Both options require a well-defined proposal, including objectives, methodology, and a realistic cost breakdown.
The programme emphasizes the importance of artistic research, process, and professional growth. It is particularly suited for artists working in Visual Arts, Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, and other Interdisciplinary Arts practices who wish to deepen their engagement with new contexts, materials, or conceptual frameworks.
Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to their practice and the ability to translate the opportunity into meaningful artistic outcomes. Upon completion, recipients must submit a report outlining their activities and provide visual documentation of the resulting work.
