Curatorial Program for Research (CPR). This project is realized with generous support from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and Citizens New York, working alongside local partners in the various boroughs.

Applications are open for Hello New York! 2026.
This is a highly immersive, two-week professional development and networking program that aims to assist resident and non-resident artists in navigating the complex and vibrant art scene of New York City. Please note: This is an unconventional format. It is not a typical residency for producing or creating physical works, but rather an intensive workshop focused on community engagement, mentorship, peer networking, and daily visits to artist studios and arts institutions.

Eligibility:
- Who: Open to both local and international resident/non-resident artists. (Note: CPR strongly welcomes applicants from underrepresented groups working with issues such as the environment, equality, migration, displacement, decolonization, and indigenous knowledge).
- Experience Level: Applicants MUST be established or emerging artists with a minimum of 2+ years of professional experience.
- Language: All applications and program discussions MUST be in English.
- Visas: International grantees are strictly responsible for securing their own visas if needed.
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Program Cost: Participation in the two-week workshop is completely free of charge.
- Networking: Residents will privately meet with a minimum of ten key professionals within the New York art ecosystem.
- Public Engagement: Residents will conduct a presentation of their work to their peers in a session open to the public.
Application Fee & Program Costs:
- Standard Application Fee: $45.00 USD.
- Student Discount Fee: $30.00 USD. (Note: Students MUST use their university email to apply and attach official proof of enrollment, such as a transcript, student ID card, or a letter from the registrar).
