Institut français du Maroc in partnership with the Cité internationale des arts. The Institut français du Maroc works to promote culture throughout Morocco and supports the development of innovative projects in the artistic, digital, and academic fields.
Title & Description:
Applications are open for the Research and Creative Residency Programme (Art-Ibat).
This program aims to encourage and facilitate the mobility of artists and professionals based in Morocco, expanding their professional and artistic networks. The residency will host three successful applicants at the Cité internationale des arts (Marais site) in Paris. The live-in studios are designed to combine creative work with everyday life.

Eligibility:
- Who: Applicants MUST work and reside in Morocco.
- Experience: You must have been pursuing a professional artistic practice for at least five years.
- Solo Only: Applications from duos or collectives are NOT eligible.
- Accessibility: The live-in studios currently on offer do not meet current accessibility standards for people with disabilities.
- Companions: A live-in studio can accommodate up to two adults and one child aged 10 or under. (Note: Additional fees apply for accompanying persons).
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Living Allowance: A grant of at least €1,000 per month.
- Travel & Visas: Full coverage of return international travel to and from Paris airports, as well as travel insurance and visa costs.
- Workspace & Accommodation: A live-in studio (25 to 40m²) on the Marais site of the Cité internationale des arts, including a workspace, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area.
- Support: Networking opportunities, support, and meetings organized by the partners of the residency program.
Application Requirements:
Applications that do not comply with the following guidelines, formats, or word limits will not be considered. Multiple applications are not accepted. The form requires:
- Detailed CV: Maximum 4 pages, in French or English.
- Artistic Portfolio: Maximum 15 pages, in French or English. Must include images of works with full captions, and video links/audio files (mp3, avi) where applicable.
- Statement of Intent: Maximum 3 pages, in French or English. Explain your motivations, why your current work requires a residency in Paris/Cité internationale des arts, your proposed working plan, and any contacts or partnerships already established.
