Organizer Information
INSITU Polyculture Commons (ISPC) is an international arts organization dedicated to ecological thinking, site-responsive practice, and socially engaged cultural production. Based in Colombia and operating globally, ISPC fosters experimental dialogue between artists, curators, researchers, and communities. Through its “Polyculture” framework, the organization emphasizes multiplicity, interdependence, and regenerative models of art-making.
ISPC’s residency programs—both on-site and remote—support research-driven practices that critically engage with land, ecology, and cross-cultural exchange. The Remote Residency reflects the organization’s commitment to accessibility and distributed participation, enabling artists worldwide to engage deeply without geographic relocation.
Title & Description
“In Situ At Home” Remote Residency 2026
Applications are open through March 1, 2026, for the 2026 edition of the “In Situ At Home”
Remote Residency. This program will award 3–5 artists the opportunity to participate in a structured, critique-based, financially supported remote residency experience.
Designed as a home-based research and production framework, the residency supports artists working from their own studios or domestic environments. Rather than requiring travel, ISPC provides intellectual exchange, mentorship, critique sessions, and financial reimbursement to strengthen participants’ existing creative ecosystems.
The program prioritizes dialogue, reflection, and sustainable artistic practice. Residents will engage in cohort-based discussions, one-on-one studio visits, and a culminating online exhibition showcasing work developed during the residency year.
