Applications are open for the Spring 2026 Innovate Grant for Art + Photo.

These grants act as mighty sparks of financial support to help artists and photographers develop new ideas, experiment with new forms, and create new work. Innovate Grant believes that an artist's work should speak for itself, and their highly simplified application process reflects that ethos.

Category:

Visual Arts & Photography (Art: Painting, Printmaking, Drawing, Sculpture, Film/Video, Mixed Media, Installation, New Media. Photography: Portrait, Conceptual, Still Life, Black & White, Documentary, Street, Composite, Collage).

Eligibility:

  • Who: Open to visual artists and photographers from all around the world.
  • Age Limit: Applicants MUST be 18 years or older.
  • Rights: All applicants retain full rights to the work they submit.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Cash Awards: * One (1) $1,800.00 USD Grant to a Visual Artist.
    • One (1) $1,800.00 USD Grant to a Photographer.
  • Honorable Mentions: 18 Honorable Mentions (9 in art, 9 in photo).
  • Exposure: Winners and Honorable Mentions receive feature profiles, published interviews on the Innovate Grant website, and promotion on their Instagram account (to over 73,000+ followers).

Application Fee & Program Costs:

  • Application Fee: $35.00 USD (Non-refundable).

Application Requirements:

  • Submission Portal: Applications are processed via the official Innovate Grant website.
  • Simplified Process / Key Highlight: The application strictly requires ONLY the following: Name, Email, Grant Category, Images of Your Work, and the Application Fee.
  • What is NOT required: You do NOT need to write an artist statement, submit a project proposal, or obtain letters of recommendation.
