Organizer Information

The residency is hosted by Interart Culture Center, an independent cultural organization based in Skopje, North Macedonia, that has shaped North Macedonia's contemporary dance scene for more than 30 years as the organizer and producer of Dance Fest and Skopje Dance Theater. Skopje Dance Theater, founded in 2011 under Interart and choreographer Risima Risimkin, is North Macedonia's first and only continuously active contemporary dance company, having produced over 70 original works across fourteen years and performed at venues including the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris. The residency is implemented within Culture Moves Europe's Residency Host Programme, an EU mobility scheme funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut, which supports individual mobility and residency projects across Creative Europe countries.
