Organizer Information
The Cité internationale des arts is the world’s largest artist-in-residence center, located in the heart of Paris, France. Since 1965, it has hosted over 30,000 artists from all over the globe, providing a unique environment for creative research and professional development. This specific edition of the Jadwal program is a strategic partnership with the Nessij association, an organization dedicated to supporting the Tunisian cultural scene. Together, they aim to facilitate the professional mobility of artists living in Tunisia, offering them a platform to integrate into international networks. While Nessij co-constructs the program, the selection is handled by an independent jury to ensure total impartiality.
Title & Description
Jadwal Residency Program 2026 — Paris for Tunisian Artists
The Jadwal program (meaning "schedule" or "timeline") is a fully funded Residency designed to empower Tunisian artists to conduct high-level Research and networking in Paris. This program is specifically co-constructed to support the professionalization of the Tunisian artistic scene. Unlike production-heavy residencies, Jadwal prioritizes the "time and space" needed to build sustainable international partnerships and explore new work protocols. Two laureates—one from the Visual Arts and one from Video/Film or Performing Arts—will spend three months at the Cité’s Marais site, immersing themselves in one of the world's most dense creative ecosystems.
