Title & Description

KAF Young Art Prize 2026 – European Competition for Emerging Artists The KAF Young Art Prize 2026 is an open competition celebrating contemporary artistic practices by artists under the age of 36 residing in Europe. The competition invites submissions in painting, sculpture/object/installation, and digital art, highlighting groundbreaking work created between 2024 and 2026. Selected Finalists will exhibit their work in autumn 2026, with awards including monetary prizes and exhibition fees. The program emphasizes innovation, originality, and professional development, providing both financial support and exposure through a post-competition exhibition.

Eligibility

  • Artists under 36 years old as of 31 March 2026 (born between 1 Jan 1990 and 31 Mar 2008).
  • Residents of European countries including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, UK, and others.
  • Individuals with documented artistic practice or students/graduates of art academies.
  • Open to international participants within Europe; English-language submissions required.

Program Benefits & Awards

  • Three equal monetary prizes of EUR 12,000 each.
  • Exhibition fee of EUR 400 for Finalists not receiving a prize.
  • Exhibition opportunity in autumn 2026.
  • Transportation costs up to EUR 120 are covered by KAF for sending and returning works.
  • Potential for acquisitions and special distinctions.
