La CAP Re|Hub in collaboration with IPERCUBO. The residencies are funded through the PR FSE+ Tuscany 2021/2027 programme and are part of Giovanisì, the Regione Toscana project dedicated to supporting youth autonomy.

Title & Description:

Applications are open for LIEVITO Residencies (Cycle 1: Rethinking the Courtyard).

Taking shape around the metaphor of yeast (LIEVITO), the project values the extended time of process and care. Overall, LIEVITO offers 10 residency small grants structured into two six-month cycles (addressed to 8 artists and 2 curators total). Cycle 1 welcomes a group of 5 participants (4 artists and 1 curator aged 18 to 35) to live and work at La CAP Re|Hub, a residency and contemporary creation space based in Sinalunga (Siena), Tuscany.

The theme for Cycle 1 is Rethinking the Courtyard, an invitation to reflect on unmediated relationships, the meaning of shared work, the public dimension of being together today, and the possibility of redefining the places and rituals of everyday life through artistic practices.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Artists, makers, and curators.
  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old (under 36).
  • Employment Status: Must be unemployed, underemployed, inactive, or currently employed but intending to start an entrepreneurial or self-employment activity.
  • Education: Must hold at least a high school diploma (upper secondary education).
  • Language: Must have a minimum working knowledge of Italian and English.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Financial Support: A monthly grant of €500.
  • Accommodation & Workspace: Integrated living and working spaces, including an equipped studio at La CAP Re|Hub (reachable on foot from the Sinalunga train station).
  • Mentorship & Training: A full program of seminars, masterclasses, workshops, and lectures. Cycle 1 features professional guidance from the following mentors:
    • Laura Lamonea: Artistic Director, Festival Video Sound Art and ArtVerona Fair.
    • Stefano Raimondi: Artistic Director, MAC – Museum of Contemporary Art of Lissone and The Blank Contemporary Art.
    • Cristina Caprioli: Artist and choreographer, Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Biennale Dance 2024.
    • Carlotta Scioldo: Researcher and dramaturg.
  • Exhibition: A final public presentation and collective exhibition (December 12–13, 2026).
