LiTE-HAUS is a culture space located in the heart of Berlin's vibrant art scene. They offer a professional environment for artists to work directly with program team leaders and gain insight into the inner workings of an art space.

Description:

LiTE-HAUS offers a 2 ½ week intensive artist residency program and exhibition in April. The program is designed for artists to expand and improve their practice in a serene and professional environment. The residency will be conducted in the English language. The ideal candidates are artists who want to find or strengthen their artistic voice while also gaining knowledge about how art spaces operate. The program focuses on guidance, development, collaboration, and critique. It includes workstations and connection with art professionals.

Eligibility:

  • Age/Career Stage: Artists of all ages and at any stage of their careers may apply—from students to established artists.

  • Residency: The program is open to international artists, not just Berlin residents.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Support: The program includes work stations, guidance, insight into culture space operations, and direct work with team leaders.

  • Exhibition: Residency artists have the opportunity to exhibit in a group exhibition at the end of the residency (participation is optional).

  • Lodging: Lodging is available at LiTE-HAUS depending on the option chosen. There are two private rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen. The rooms serve as both studio and sleeping quarters.

No entry fee to apply. Program Fees (if selected):
  • Berlin Artists: €400.

  • International Artists: €700.

  • With Lodging: €1,900.

  • Note: A 50% non-refundable deposit is due upon registration (February 21), and the fee balance is due by March 28.

Additional Details:

This is a self-guided residency. Artists may work from home or in LiTE-HAUS during the residency. However, the organizers encourage artists to work at the space as often as possible to engage with the team and fellow creators and to take full advantage of what the residency offers.
