Short Description
The Naomi Anolic Early Career Jewish Visual Arts Award is intended to provide momentum for Jewish artists who are early in their artistic careers, who would benefit from the support and recognition this award would provide for a specific project. An applicant for the Naomi Anolic Early Career Award will have demonstrated great potential, but not yet have achieved broad success or be considered well established professionally.
Eligibility
Active, early career Jewish artists between the ages of 25 and 35 may apply. Students may not apply.
The 2025 cycle of this award will focus on the fine arts: PAINTING, DRAWING, SCULPTURE, AND MIXED MEDIA.
Submission Requirements
A proposal (up to 600 words) that addresses the following:
• Why are you applying? Why do you consider yourself an early career artist?
• Describe your project, or focus, in detail and explain in what way the award will help support it.
• Explain how Judaism informs and is realized in your work. The use of overt Jewish imagery is not a requirement.
Evidence of your work: Submit 10 images that are the best representation of your most recent work:
• Images must be in .jpg format.
• The size of your .jpg files should be as follows: 1024 pixels on its longest side and no larger than 3 MB each.
• Please label each image as follows: Last name_First name_image# (Example: Doe_Jane_#1).
• An image list: Identify each submitted work with the image #, title, date, medium, dimensions. You may also include other relevant information here (i.e. Was the work exhibited? Did it win an award?). Please include your name and contact information at the top of your image list.
Your artist resume/CV of no more than two pages: Please include all professional art experience, exhibitions and any other information you feel will be relevant to support your application. If you have a website please provide the address. Please include your name and contact information on your CV.
