The NCA Cultural Crossroads 2025 program invites independent artists and cultural organization representatives from Iran, Georgia, France, Italy, Germany, and China to submit project proposals. The initiative aims to foster cultural exchange, strengthen intercultural ties, and provide artists with a platform to share their work and skills. The program includes a 15-day residency split between Yerevan and regional areas of Armenia.

Organized by: Henrik Igityan National Centre for Aesthetics (NCA), supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia.

Information & Application Details:

  • Deadline: March 15, 2025.
  • Implementation: June 12 – 26, 2025 (10 days in Yerevan, 5 days in regional Armenia).

 

Eligibility:

  • Independent artists or representatives of art organizations from Iran, Georgia, Italy, France, Germany, and China.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the art field.
  • Age 18+.
  • Proficiency in English.

 

Categories:

  • Fine Arts: Painting, pottery, woodcarving, tapestry/carpet making, embroidery (age 6+).
  • Theatre: National acting and directing schools, modern playwriting (age 14+).
  • Dance: National dances (age 10+).
  • Music: National songs and musical instruments (age 10+).

 

How to apply:

 

Selection Process:

  • Evaluation Period: March 15 – April 1, 2025.
  • Projects selected by a professional Armenian committee.
  • Criteria: clear project description, feasibility, cultural representation, educational value, and sustainability.
  • Notification: April 1, 2025.

 

Program Benefits:

  • Coverage of travel, accommodation, meals, and in-country transportation.
  • Provision of project materials.
  • Public presentations of project outcomes in Yerevan (exhibitions, concerts, performances, etc.).
  • No artist fee; no application fee.
