NYPL Picture Collection Artist Fellowship
Short Description
The New York Public Library’s Picture Collection Artist Fellowship supports artists and scholars in researching, developing, and executing a new creative or scholarly work based on the Collection’s extensive holdings. The fellowship offers dedicated access to the Picture Collection, expert guidance from Library staff, and opportunities for collaborative exchange with peers and experts—all aimed at highlighting the Collection’s unique attributes.
Projects should be based on the NYPL Picture Collection and focus on innovative, creative, or scholarly interpretations that explore the Collection’s distinctive visual materials. The project outcome should be suitable for public engagement through workshops, online exhibitions, or outreach initiatives.
