Short Description
OCA offers a 12-month artist’s residency programme from 1 September until 31 August and a 3-month curator’s residency programme from 1 September until 30 November at the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York. Annual application deadline 3 October.
The ISCP programme provides artists and curators with the opportunity to work independently. Two public exhibitions are held each year, and during the residence period, the studios will be open to the public on several occasions. ISCP is regularly approached by curators and gallery owners who want contact with artists and curators.
ISCP strives to establish a global network of exemplary artists and curators. Tailored for professional growth, the programmes serve as an active mediator, creating visibility and immersion for all of its residents. ISCP’s programming is conceived to facilitate dialogue and collaboration. Integrated activity areas including the Residency Programmes, Exhibition Programmes, ISCP Talks and Offsite Projects, make ISCP an unparalleled platform for producing, presenting and contextualising contemporary art through an expansive range of international perspectives
Eligibility
Applications are accepted from Norwegian artists and curators and international artists and curators residing in Norway. The residency is for one artist and one curator.
By applying for the residency, the applicant confirms that there is nothing to their knowledge that could prevent them from obtaining a residence permit for the period if they are granted the residency. It is the recipient’s responsibility to ensure that a residence permit is granted if they are awarded the residency.
Any discontinuation of the residency due to such issues or issues related to the residence permit will remain the resident’s sole risk, responsibility and cost.
