Title & Description:

Applications are open for the second edition of the Pragicomedionale Performance Festival 2026.

This year’s theme is "Mutual Benefits" (in the broadest sense of the term). The festival aims to encourage mobility across the Czech and international scenes, bringing together experimental artists working across performance, media, and interdisciplinary practices.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Open to both Czech and international performance artists. There are no restrictions placed on performers.
  • Submission Limits: None. Applicants may submit any number of performances.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Funding & Travel: Coverage of travel and accommodation costs (where necessary).
  • Stipends & Materials: Artist fees (to be specified according to available funding), plus coverage for props and installation materials.
  • Production Support: Festival PR and production, photo documentation, and the graphic design and printing of posters/accompanying materials.

Application Requirements:

Submissions must include two mandatory attachments.

  • Project Description: A detailed project description that MUST include an estimated budget for any required props and installation materials.
  • Portfolio & CV: The artist’s portfolio, CV, and documentation of previous performances.
  • File Naming: You MUST label all files with the applicant’s name.
  • File Size: The size of each individual file must not exceed 10 MB. Applications that do not meet these requirements will not be included in the selection process.

  • Application Deadline: April 6, 2026, at 23:59. (Note: Projects submitted after this deadline will not be considered).
  • Notification of Results: No later than the end of April 2026.
  • Festival Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026.
