La Becque | Artist Residency is located on the shores of Lake Geneva in La Tour-de-Peilz, Switzerland. The residency is deeply convinced of the importance of transitional phases in the artistic process, providing a space primarily for research, reflection, and experimentation rather than focusing strictly on production-driven, finished outputs.

This highly sought-after program offers fully-funded, three-month residencies for practitioners across all disciplines. La Becque dedicates particular attention to residency projects that explore the interplay between nature, the environment, and technology—notions that are more intertwined than ever and at the core of contemporary concerns.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Independent professional artists, curators, critics, and theorists (individuals, duos, or collectives). Both established practitioners and emerging voices with a strong developmental trajectory are encouraged to apply.
  • Scope: International and Swiss applicants.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Stipend: A monthly stipend of 1,500 CHF to cover living expenses and production costs (up to 2,500 CHF per month for collectives).
  • Family Support: An additional monthly financial support of 1,000 CHF is available to help with childcare costs.
  • Travel: La Becque contributes to the travel costs from the resident's home to the residency.
  • Workspace & Accommodation: A dedicated live/work apartment. Residents also get access to a professional music/recording studio, wood and ceramic workshops, and a 3D printer.
