Organizer Information
The Culture and Tourism Council of the Municipality of Padua, in collaboration with Circuito Multidisciplinare Regionale Arteven, organizes the Prospettiva Danza Teatro International Prize, directed by Laura Pulin. This initiative supports emerging and professional choreographers and promotes contemporary dance and performance innovation. The prize is part of the annual Prospettiva Danza Teatro Festival in Padua, Italy, with a history of launching choreographic talent on national and international stages.
Title & Description
Prospettiva Danza Teatro International Prize 2026 – 17th Edition
This prize invites choreographers aged 18–45 to submit original contemporary dance works of 15–25 minutes (minimum 2 dancers). Submissions must include a video presentation, CVs, and technical specifications. Selected finalists perform live in Padua, with the winning work premiering during the Prospettiva Danza Teatro Festival 2027 in the Veneto region.

Eligibility

Program Benefits & Awards
- €5,000 pre-tax cash prize
- Week-long choreographic residency in Padua (dates agreed with the winner)
- Premiere performance at the Prospettiva Danza Teatro Festival 2027, with €800 pre-tax for the Veneto region performance
- Week-long choreographic residency at Scenario Pubblico Center, Catania (dates agreed with choreographer)
- Technical support: 30 minutes on-stage rehearsal, standard sound system, dedicated technician, and stage access
- Travel reimbursement: Up to €200 per group for transport to Padua
- Enhanced visibility and networking opportunities with festival organizers and professionals
