Organizer Information
This initiative is a small-scale, independently run art award jointly organized by ASP (Artist Support Project) located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and Project Space hazi located in Aichi, Japan. Both entities are independent art spaces that have grown directly out of individual creative practices and continue to sustain their activities through small, flexible, grassroots communities. Rather than operating as large-scale institutional grant programs, ASP and Project Space hazi function as platforms for exchanges between artists, local communities, and distinct geographical places. The award is supported by Kuroyama Syacyu, Inc.
Title & Description
R.E. Award 2026 and r.e. award 2026.
Submissions are officially open for these residency and exhibition-based art awards designed to support diverse artistic practices and independent creators. The 2026 cycle centers on the theme "Three-Point Perspective." Applicants are invited to position themselves and their practice within a metaphorical three-point perspective, utilizing their current location as one observation point alongside ASP and hazi as the other two nodes. By reconsidering borders—both conceptual and physical—the award functions as a catalyst for new artistic expressions extending beyond personal and geographical boundaries.

THE TWO AWARD TRACKS
The program divides its support structure into two tiers based on the nature of the project and the applicant's established practice history:
