Title & Description
2026 Downtown Redmond Art Walk Mural Call
The City of Redmond invites artists to apply for a temporary Mural commission as part of the 2026 Downtown Redmond Art Walk in Redmond, Washington. This opportunity focuses on live painting and temporary public installation within a community cultural event held in Downtown Park.
Selected artists will design and paint an 8’x8’ temporary mural on one side of a cubic mural structure (8’x8’x8’), contributing to a curated public exhibition that highlights local and regional creative talent. The project is designed as a live, public-facing Performance of artistic production, allowing audiences to engage directly with the process of mural creation.
Artists are encouraged to submit conceptual proposals, sketches, or written descriptions rather than fully finalized works. The emphasis is placed on creativity, adaptability to scale, and suitability for a public event environment.
The final mural will be executed during the live event on September 17, 2026, in Downtown Park, Redmond, WA.
