The Finnish Cultural Foundation. The Foundation awards grants for international artists’ residency programs each year, supporting scientific and artistic work through working and mobility grants.

Applications will open for the August Round: Grants for Artists' Residencies.
Artists can apply for grants for international work through two different forms of support: a period of work that includes a working grant at one of the partner residencies offered by the Cultural Foundation, OR a mobility grant for residencies organized by the artists themselves (or other international work).

Eligibility:
- Who / Geography Constraint: Eligible applicants include Finnish nationals, and people/organizations residing or operating in Finland. Others are eligible as well, provided their application demonstrates clear, strong ties to Finland or Finnish culture.
- Application Constraint: You may apply either for one of the Cultural Foundation’s residencies OR for a mobility grant in one application round, not for both.
- Responsibilities: Grantees are strictly responsible for their own visas, residence permits, and insurance required for the period abroad.
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Working Grant: A working grant is awarded to cover ordinary personal living costs for the duration of the residency (includes accommodation).
- Travel Grant (Standard): Europe (excluding Estonia): €500/person. Other continents: €1,000/person. Estonia: max €300/person.
- Slow Travel Supplement: You can apply for a supplementary travel grant if you travel without flying by public transport or cargo ship (not by car).
- Short-Term Grant (Kanuti Gildi SAAL only): €750/week/person for 2–3 weeks (working groups of 2 to 6 people). Note: Accommodation is not pre-arranged for this specific destination.

- AIT (Tokyo, Japan): 3 months, visual arts/other fields.
- Fabrikken (Copenhagen, Denmark): 3 months, visual arts/other fields.
- G.A.S. / Yinka Shonibare Foundation (Lagos, Nigeria): 2 months, visual art/other fields.
- Kanuti Gildi SAAL (Tallinn, Estonia): 2 weeks, performing arts (working groups of 2 to 6).
- MJF (Lofoten Islands, Norway): 1 to 2 months, visual art.
- MORPHO (Antwerp, Belgium): 5 months, visual arts/other fields.
- NART (Narva, Estonia): 3 months, visual arts/other fields (individuals or pairs).
- SÍM (Reykjavik, Iceland): 3 months, visual arts/other fields (individuals or pairs).
- Tokyo Arts and Space (Tokyo, Japan): 3 months, visual arts/other fields (individuals or pairs).
- Triangle (New York, USA): 3 months, visual arts/other fields.
Application Requirements:
All applications and attachments must be submitted in English.
- Curriculum vitae (maximum 3 pages).
- A portfolio or photographs of artistic work. (Note: Files over 3MB or videos cannot be uploaded; please provide a website link to your portfolio).
- A possible reference (scanned and included as an appendix).

Key Dates:
