The competition is organized by the Royal Entomological Society, a UK-based society devoted to the study of insects.
This competition encourages participants to explore and capture the fascinating world of insects through photography.
“ Photographs entered for the Competition should feature an insect (or group of insects) occurring naturally in the situation in which it is photographed. The subject can be of any life-stage, from egg through nymph, larva or pupa to adult, and can be an insect from anywhere in the world.
Each participant may submit up to three photos.
Eligibility: The competition is open to amateur photographers of all ages and nationalities. Professional photographers are not eligible.
Program Benefits or Awards:
• 1st prize (18 and over): £750
• 2nd prize (18 and over): £500
• 1st prize (Under 18): £450
• 2nd prize (Under 18): £250
