Short Description

Are you a student or recent graduate with a passion for performance art, embodied research, or community-based practice? Are you seeking an experience that blends creation, collaboration, nature, and presentation?

The School of Disobedience invites you to co-apply with us and your university for a Scholarship that will support your participation in a unique artistic journey in Hungary.

Eligibility

– have an active student status in the spring semester of 2024/2025, and
– either plan to continue your studies in 2025/2026
– or will graduate in the spring of 2025
– you are studying in a Creative Europe country
– and have not yet participated in any Erasmus+ program

  • curious, self-driven students or recent graduates in the fields of performance, contemporary art, somatic practices, social sciences, education, activism, design, or related areas
  • those eager to explore new ways of creating, (un)learning, and being together
  • those who want to connect performance with nature, community, and personal mythologies

Submission Requirements

  • your current university status (university name, country, year, and study program)
  • your availability in June, July, and September 2025
  • a short motivation letterCV, or any other format that helps us understand your aesthetic, interests, and research direction

Program Benefits & Awards

  • Retreat: a time for research, experimentation, creation, and rest in the countryside (Lake Balaton).
  • Summer Festival 2025: present or share the outcome of your retreat in a solo or collaborative format at one of Hungary’s most progressive music and art festivals (Budapest).
  • Mentoring & Support: receive artistic and professional guidance to develop your own project, explore new methods, and deepen your practice.
