Organizer Information
This opportunity is a collaborative effort between two distinct, artist-run organizations: Field Projects and In Situ Polyculture Commons (ISPC). Field Projects is a well-known project space located in the heart of Chelsea, New York City, dedicated to platforming emerging and mid-career artists through monthly exhibitions, art fairs, and experimental programming. In Situ Polyculture Commons, based in Southeastern Vermont, serves as an arts residency and eco-cultural catalyst. ISPC focuses on "collapse-aware" modalities, bridging the gap between artistic studio practice and ecological contexts. Together, these organizations aim to support artists whose work makes a strong statement about our times, particularly those navigating social or political marginalization.
Title & Description
Solo Exhibition + Residency Fellowship 2026
The 2026 Solo Exhibition + Residency Fellowship is a comprehensive career-advancement opportunity designed to provide artists with the space to create, the funding to support their practice, and a high-visibility platform to exhibit. The fellowship is divided into two phases: a 2-3 week summer retreat in the bucolic landscape of Vermont to develop a body of work, followed by a solo exhibition at Field Projects Gallery in New York City during the fall. The program seeks "impactful" work—art that addresses the current global context, involves immersive installations, or experiments with new modalities of expression and mutual aid.
