TENT Rotterdam is a contemporary art institution and a programme of CBK Rotterdam. Based at Coolhaven in Rotterdam, TENT connects artists, audiences, and the city through exhibitions, projects, education, and nomadic programming. Its bookshop presents books, zines, magazines, and experimental publications connected to contemporary artistic practices and TENT’s programme.

TENT Rotterdam — Stick Together & Lace Stories Open Call
Stick Together & Lace Stories — Publications for the TENT Bookshop is an open call for artist-made publications that relate to two upcoming TENT projects: STICK TOGETHER and LACE STORIES.
STICK TOGETHER is a participatory, artistic-pedagogical project centered on connectedness, collective imagination, play, making, and alternative ways of being together. Lace Stories is a multidisciplinary exhibition and performance project examining marriage as a living and changing ritual. Through visual art, fashion, performance, and shared gestures, it explores bodies, labor, gender roles, care, humor, tenderness, and collective joy.
TENT is seeking publications that resonate with these themes and can become part of its changing bookshop selection.

Eligibility
The open call is not international. Applicants must:
- Be a maker or collective based in Rotterdam.
- Have an artistic vision and involvement that are central to the proposed publication.
- Submit a publication that relates to the themes of STICK TOGETHER or LACE STORIES.
- Submit a publication issued within the last five years.
- Offer the publication for a sales price of less than €50.
Program Benefits & Awards
Selected publications will be presented for sale through the TENT BOOKSHOP, providing an opportunity for artist-made publications to reach TENT's audiences.
TENT will select proposals from the submissions received. For each selected publication, 2–5 copies will be placed in the bookshop on consignment. TENT BOOKSHOP operates as a non-profit initiative supporting artistic book projects, with proceeds used to promote new artist-owned publications.
There is no cash prize, residency, travel grant, accommodation, or mentorship specified in the call.

This opportunity is specifically intended for Rotterdam-based makers and collectives, making geographic eligibility a key requirement. The publication itself should be relatively recent, no more than five years old, and must have a retail price below €50.
Selected publications are placed on consignment, rather than acquired outright. Applicants should therefore consider the 20% commission when determining the publication's sales price.
