The Patricia Reser Center for the Arts (commonly known as The Reser) is a major contemporary arts institution located in Beaverton, Oregon. In partnership with Beaverton Arts Market, the center supports regional artists through exhibitions, public programming, and artist-driven initiatives. The organization focuses on strengthening local creative economies by providing professional exhibition platforms, sales opportunities, and curatorial support for emerging and established artists across the Pacific Northwest.

The Curio | Exhibition & Sale – Open Call for Artists (2026)
The Curio is an annual juried exhibition and sales opportunity hosted at The Reser Gallery in Oregon. The program invites visual artists from Oregon and Washington to submit original works for inclusion in a curated group exhibition and commercial sales platform.
This Exhibition and Art Fair hybrid opportunity focuses on small-scale, collectible, and market-ready artworks, including original pieces, artist reproductions, and small functional objects. Selected artists will be featured in a professionally curated exhibition running from November 6, 2026 to January 10, 2027.
Artists are expected to submit work demonstrating strong craftsmanship, cohesive artistic practice, and an established inventory suitable for public sale. The Curio emphasizes accessibility and encourages participation from students, emerging artists, and mid-career professionals working across diverse Visual Arts disciplines.

Eligibility
- Open to artists residing in Oregon or Washington (United States)
- Applicants must submit original work created within the last two years
- All submitted works must be available for sale
- Artists at student, emerging, and professional levels may apply
- Previous participants in The Curio or Small Wonders may reapply with new works only
- Works must meet size and production requirements (generally under 24” in any direction)

Application Fee
- $35 application fee (mandatory)
- Limited fee waivers available upon request via gallery email
Application Requirements
- Completed online application form
- Up to 5 artwork submissions
- Artwork details (title, medium, dimensions, year, price)
- Artist statement (max 500 words)
- Artist bio (max 250 words)
- High-resolution headshot
- Portfolio images following naming guidelines

Additional Details
- Works selected for exhibition may not be the same pieces initially submitted; final selection is made via curatorial review and optional virtual studio visits
- Artists should price works primarily in the $100–$500 range, though exceptions may be considered
- Maximum artwork sizes: 24” x 24” (2D) and 24” x 24” x 24” (3D)
- All accepted artists enter a sales agreement for the exhibition period
- Commission: 30% taken on all sales
- Submission does not guarantee acceptance
- Late or incomplete applications are not accepted
- Artists are strongly advised to prepare materials early due to system requirements and deadlines
- Info sessions and application bootcamps are available via Zoom (recorded for later access)
