TOWCHED is a Horizon Europe project dedicated to exploring how inclusive, arts-based, and heritage-centered learning can drive sustainable and just societal development. The project is managed in collaboration with the Universitat de València, which serves as the primary contracting authority for this initiative.

Title & Description

TOWCHED Call for Expression of Interest (EoI).

TOWCHED is seeking up to 10 museums and collections-based organisations to deliver subcontracted interventions designed for children and youth. This initiative aims to strengthen Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and foster a Human Rights-Based Approach within cultural institutions. Selected museums will use the "TOWCHED Kit of Creative Resources" to co-create learning experiences with their local communities.

Key Deliverables

  • One collection-based intervention directly engaging children and youth.
  • One internal workshop for staff, educators, or stakeholders.
  • One public event (e.g., a pop-up exhibition or community activity).
  • Participation in a Europe-wide Community of Practice and peer exchange activities.

Eligibility

  • Status: Public or non-profit museums holding permanent or semi-permanent collections.
  • Location: Legally established in EU Member States or European countries associated with Horizon Europe.
  • Focus: Must have experience or interest in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ESD, and working with youth.
  • Restrictions: TOWCHED consortium members and their affiliates are ineligible.

Program Benefits and Support

  • Financial Support: A gross fixed contract value of €3,000 per museum (paid in two installments).
  • Capacity Building: Access to specialized training, onboarding, and practical creative tools.
  • Networking: Connection to a Europe-wide network of cultural hubs and learning communities.
  • Curatorial Support: Assistance in developing collection-based ESD interventions.

Fees

  • Application Fee: None.

  • Language: Submissions must be in English.
