The Visual Arts Commission (VAC) in Saudi Arabia oversees the Intermix Residency, a multidisciplinary program located in the JAX District, Diriyah, Riyadh. VAC supports emerging and mid-career artists, curators, art writers, critics, and researchers, providing a creative environment that encourages experimentation, artistic research, collaboration, and cultural exchange. VAC Intermix Open Call 2025 – Cycle 2 The Intermix Residency invites visual artists, curators, and art professionals to apply for a fully-funded residency in Riyadh. Participants will engage in studio practice, research, mentorship, and public programs while exploring themes of innovation, sustainability, and transformation. Each cycle accommodates 15 participants over three months, offering individualized studios, collaborative spaces, and access to the city’s dynamic cultural scene. Residents will have opportunities to develop production- or research-based projects, engage in open studios, workshops, and public events, and receive mentorship from local and international experts.Categories

Eligibility
- Emerging and mid-career artists, curators, art writers, critics, and researchers aged 21+
- Open to both Saudi and international applicants
- Must have a professional artistic practice or documented experience
- Proficiency in Arabic or English required
- Individual applications only (no collectives)
