Palazzo Santoro is an independent cultural and artistic residency space located in Bojano, in the Molise region of Italy. The organization hosts international artists and curators through research-driven programs focused on site-specific creation, ecological thinking, and community engagement. For the WATERways Residency 2026, Palazzo Santoro operates as the local host and coordinator under the Culture Moves Europe mobility scheme, funded by the European Union and managed by the Goethe-Institut. The residency places strong emphasis on environmental awareness and local heritage, particularly the cultural and ecological significance of water systems in the Molise region.

WATERways Residency 2026 — Research-Based Visual & Performance Art Residency
The WATERways Residency is a 30-day Residency program taking place from 1–30 September 2026 in Bojano, Italy. It invites three international artists working in Visual Arts and Performance to develop new, research-based work responding to Molise’s water heritage.
The residency encourages site-responsive practices that engage with local landscapes, archival materials, and community knowledge. Artists are invited to critically explore ecological narratives, water infrastructures, and cultural memory through interdisciplinary approaches.
Participants will be hosted at Palazzo Santoro and will have access to studio space, local archives, and community networks. The program supports experimentation and collaborative exchange, fostering dialogue between artists, local residents, and the natural environment.

Eligibility
- International applicants from Creative Europe eligible countries (excluding Italy)
