Title & Description
Werkbeiträge Kanton Schwyz 2026
The Werkbeiträge Kanton Schwyz is an annual grant program designed to provide direct financial support to artists and cultural practitioners connected to the Canton of Schwyz.
Unlike project-specific funding schemes, these grants focus on supporting the artist as an individual creator. Recipients are encouraged to dedicate time to artistic research, experimentation, innovation, skill development, and the advancement of their creative practice.
The program supports artistic initiatives that demonstrate originality, quality, feasibility, and long-term artistic development. Applications may be linked to a specific project, artistic investigation, educational opportunity, or creative exploration, but a concrete project is not mandatory. Instead, applicants must present a convincing artistic vision and clearly explain how the grant would contribute to their professional and artistic growth.
The program particularly encourages innovative and independent artistic approaches and also welcomes interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary applications.
The grants seek to create conditions that allow artists to focus on their creative work, deepen their expertise, and develop ambitious artistic ideas without immediate production pressures.
