Founded by York-based photographer Oksana Bochina (an award-winning street, travel, and architectural photographer), Allora Gallery is an independent photography space and platform dedicated to capturing the fleeting, poetic, and unseen aspects of daily life. The name “Allora”—meaning “then” or “so” in Italian—reflects the quiet in-between moments and pauses just before a story unfolds or a shutter clicks. The gallery serves as a storytelling-focused space that treats photography as a medium for observation, questioning, and cross-cultural connection.
Objectives
Allora Gallery aims to promote an “attentive gaze” and encourage audiences to slow down and observe details easily missed in a fast-paced world.
