Overview
Founded and led by Nancy Markou, HUGE Gallery is an independent, commercial exhibition platform, open-call organizer, and digital registry built specifically for emerging, independent, and self-taught artists. Operating on a paid-participation model (offering both physical and digital exhibition slots), HUGE Gallery hosts short-term pop-up exhibitions in major international art hubs—including London (The Factory), Paris, Tokyo (Design Festa Gallery Harajuku WEST), and Lyon. The platform aims to eliminate traditional art-world gatekeeping by simplifying the path from the artist’s studio to gallery walls and digital screens.
Mission
HUGE Gallery aims to help emerging artists “get shown, get seen, and create momentum” around their creative work without demanding extensive CV credentials or formal gallery histories. Grounded in loud visibility, accessibility, and direct artist communication, the platform seeks to bypass traditional gallery barriers by offering transparent, fee-based physical and digital exhibition opportunities, complete with 2-year web registry hosting, social media promotion, and professional artwork documentation.
Programs / Opportunities
- Physical Exhibition Opportunities: Paid physical gallery wall or shelf presentation in international pop-up exhibitions (ranging from £100 to £300+ per place depending on location), including event documentation, social features, and online hosting.
- Digital Exhibition Opportunities: Paid digital screen presentations within physical gallery shows (ranging from £45 to £80+ per place), providing online exposure for artists unable to ship physical works internationally.
- Two-Year Artist Page Registry: Every selected artist receives a dedicated profile page on the HUGE Gallery website featuring their bio, portrait, portfolio, and personal links for two years.
