Ivica Sveta Residency

Overview

Founded by artists Daria Chapkovskaya and Innokenty Sharkov, Art Residency Ivica Sveta is an independent artist residency located on the grounds of a renovated old farm in the quiet village of Samoš, Serbia, approximately 65 km from Belgrade. Drawing on the founders’ over 15 years of experience across sculpture, ceramics, glass, metal, wood, plastics, and other media, the residency was established as a dedicated space for artistic work, cross-disciplinary exchange, and reflection within a tranquil rural setting.

Objectives

The residency aims to provide artists with a peaceful, supportive environment for uninterrupted artistic practice, experimentation, and critical reflection. Leveraging its founders’ extensive technical expertise in multi-material fabrication, Ivica Sveta seeks to foster process-driven exploration, material synthesis, and meaningful creative exchange among practitioners in a quiet, unhurried space far removed from urban distractions.
